2026 Season Welcome

President’s Message – Perth Strikers Christian Football Club

As we head into the 2026 season, I’m looking forward to seeing everyone come together again at the WACFA Opening Ceremony on 2 May at Ashfield Reserve. It’s always a great way to kick things off and sets the tone for the season ahead.

For us as a club, it’s important we stay clear on who we are and what we stand for. Perth Strikers was built around faith, family and football - and that’s not just something we say, it’s something we try to live out in how we run the club.

A big part of that is why we focus on Saturday football. We want our families to be able to commit to the game, but also keep Sundays for church, rest and time together. That balance matters to a lot of people in our club, and it’s something we’ve been intentional about from the start and will continue to protect as we grow.

At the same time, we’re open to everyone. While we’re a Christian-based club, we welcome players and families from all backgrounds. What matters is that people come in, feel comfortable, and are part of a respectful, community-focused environment.

It’s been good to see the club continue to grow. In 2025, we had 197 players across 17 teams. This year we’re up to 235 players across 19 teams, including a strong lift in female participation, which is really encouraging for the future of the club.

Our MiniRoos program continues to be the foundation, and we’re seeing more strength coming through our junior and senior teams as well. We’ve also introduced a small social group this year, which gives people another way to stay involved in the game.

That said, growth is only a positive if we keep the right culture. We want to be a club where players develop properly, teams compete the right way, and families feel like they belong. That only happens because of the work our coaches, managers and volunteers put in week in, week out.

As we get into the season, I’m looking forward to seeing everyone back out there - players, parents and supporters - all contributing to what makes this club what it is.

Thanks for being part of Perth Strikers.
Looking forward to a good season ahead.
